Steel reducer is also called big and small head, reducer, and straight reducer. Chemical pipe fittings are used to connect two pipes with different diameters. According to different shapes, they are divided into two types: concentric steel reducers and eccentric steel reducers. The materials of steel reducers include stainless steel reducers (304, 304l, 316, 316l), alloy steel, and carbon steel reducers. The materials of steel reducers include No. 20 steel, Q235, Q345, 16Mn, etc.
A steel reducer is a pipe fitting used for pipe diameter. The commonly used forming processes are reducing diameter pressing, expanding diameter pressing or reducing and expanding diameter pressing. Steel reducers of certain specifications can also be formed by stamping.
First, the production of steel reducers:
1. Diameter reduction/diameter expansion forming: The diameter reduction forming process of steel reducers is to put a tube blank with the same diameter as the big end of the steel reducer into the forming mold and press it along the axial direction of the tube blank. The metal moves along the mold cavity and shrinks into shape. According to the diameter of the steel reducer, it is divided into one-time press forming or multiple press forming.
2. Stamping forming: In addition to using steel pipes as raw materials to produce steel reducers, some specifications of steel reducers can also be produced using steel plates using the stamping forming process. The shape of the punch used for drawing is designed concerning the inner surface dimensions of the steel reducer, and the punch is used to punch and stretch the blanked steel plate into shape.
Second, before bonding the steel reducer, use a dry cloth to wipe the socket side and outside. When there is oil on the surface, it must be wiped clean with acetone. There are the following points to pay attention to:
1. Control caliber: DIN standard (DN10-DN150), 3A/IDF standard (1/2"-6"), ISO standard (Ф12.7-Ф152.4);
2. International industrial standards: DIN, ISO, SMS, 3A, IDF, etc.;
3. Product material: stainless steel 304, 316, 316L;
4. Quality and use: The inside and outside of the steel reducer are processed with high-end polishing equipment to meet the surface precision requirements; this product is suitable for industrial fields such as dairy, food, beer, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, etc.;
5. External processing: non-standard products can be processed according to user requirements with drawings and samples;
6. Connection method: clamp (quick installation) type, welding type, thread (unmovable connection) type.
Note that steel reducers are also suitable for pipe diameter reduction in the environmental protection dust removal industry. They are generally made of rolled steel plates, cut and welded. The pipe diameters vary. The materials are generally hot-rolled coils. They are perfect in application and can save costs.
