There are many ways to insulate
steel pipes, which are mostly used in urban heat transportation pipelines and various refining and chemical process pipelines. The commonly used insulation methods are summarized as follows.
Polyurethane foam insulation is used for the insulation of directly buried pipe sections. It has the characteristics of small heat loss, strong pressure resistance, good anti-corrosion and waterproof performance, etc. It is widely used in projects such as central heating, oil transportation, chemical industry, refrigeration, and water supply in alpine areas.
Advanced rubber and plastic insulation is an integrally formed insulation material with a relatively simple process, fast progress, and no harm to health. It is often used in the insulation of refrigerant pipes and condensate pipes in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Phenolic foam insulation is a foam plastic obtained by foaming phenolic resin. Divided into thermoplastic resin and thermosetting resin. Thermosetting resin has good process performance, can continuously produce phenolic foam, and has better product performance, so most phenolic foam materials use thermosetting resin.
Polystyrene foam insulation has a closed-cell structure, has little water absorption, good low-temperature resistance, good freeze resistance, is non-toxic, non-corrosive, has little water absorption, is light, has good thermal insulation, mold forming, and is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion. Widely used in refrigeration equipment and refrigeration equipment.
