Differences between galvanized steel pipes and hot-dip galvanized steel pipes

Update:2019-04-30      View(s):1216        Keywords :Differences between galvanized steel pipes and hot-dip galvanized steel pipes
Galvanized steel pipe is a cold-plated pipe generally called electroplating. It is only galvanized on the outer wall of the steel pipe, and the inner wall of the steel pipe is not galvanized.

Hot-dip galvanized steel pipes are generally hot dip galvanized, and the inner and outer walls of the steel pipe have a zinc layer.

The difference between the two:
1, the process is different, one is chemical treatment, one is physical treatment; hot-dip galvanized coating is firm, not easy to fall off
2. The hot-dip galvanized coating is thick, so it has strong anti-corrosion ability. The galvanized (electroplating) coating is uniform, the surface quality is good, and the plating thickness is generally between several micrometers and ten micrometers.
3. Hot-dip galvanizing is chemical treatment and belongs to electrochemical reaction. Zinc plating is a physical treatment, except that a layer of zinc is applied to the surface, and there is no galvanization at all, so the zinc layer is easy to fall off. Hot-dip galvanizing is often used in construction.
4.The hot-dip galvanized tube is obtained by reacting a molten metal with an iron matrix to produce an alloy layer, thereby combining the substrate and the plating layer.
