Quality control with testing in spiral welded pipe

Quality would be the first factor for wholesale so that even for suppliers, they would make all of quality things done before they sell products for clients. Like the spiral welded pipe, they would have special testing methods for quality control before the negotiation with clients.

The following facilities are utilized for ensuring stringent quality standards. Threewaysteel, as supplier of various steel pipes, has adopted some of the testing methods for customers:

Universal testing machines(digital): This equipment is for material testing, like the  mechanical properties (Ultimate tensile strength, Yield strength, Elongation).

Ultrasonic testing machine: This is for checking strip lamination and flaw detection on welds for pipes in auto mode. It is mainly used for chemical component analysis to make sure the structure's good service.

Metallurgical microscope: In order to check and evaluate the grain size and structure of material, heat affected and weld zones, this kind of dealing method is necessary for the product.

Digital ultrasonic thickness gauge: No doubt that thickness would be an important parameter for customers when choosing the pipe. So suppliers need to check the thickness of pipes. For example, SSAW steel pipe's wall thickness is 3.2mm - 25.4mm.
