Quality test for steel pipe

Test before wholesale would be the last step for production of a king of steel pipe. From seamless steel pipe, welded steel pipe, SSAW steel pipe, they need test all the time. How could we guarantee the quality test result? Which aspects we need to pay attention to?

First, visual inspection. Appearance detection would be the first step to obsolete initial unqualified end product of steel pipe.

Second, physical testing methods. Ultrasonic non-destructive testing, radio-graphic testing, penetration testing, magnetic testing would be used in this step.

What’s more, pressure vessel strength test. There is sealing test as well as conduct strength test for steel pipe. This would lead us to high quality steel pipe.

Of course, how could we ignore the compactness test, hydraulic pressure test and other test methods to guarantee the high quality steel pipe?
