Different composition of the original material would give us various types of steel pipes. There seems like more than 3,500 grades of steel with different physical, chemical and environmental characters in the world according to relevant data. However, like the ERW steel pipe, there are main steel pipes we used often in engineering project.

Suppliers can divided steel pipes into carbon steel pipe, alloy steel pipe, stainless steel pipe as well as tool steel pipe according to the steel pipe’s components. Of course, there are different properties because of the various results of different composition in steel pipes. For example, the range may from 0.1 to 1.5% for carbon content in carbon steel pipes. Generally speaking, the most widely used grades of carbon steel may occupy only 0.1 to 0.25%. There are different grades and tensile strength as well as elongation even with the same standards. So the change is here for every type of steel pipes.
