Types and grades in ASTM A53 LSAW steel pipe

There are lots of classifications when talked about ASTM steel pipe. And even for ASTM steel pipe, there are ranges for types of grades, for example, seamless steel pipe or ERW steel pipe for ASTM A 53? Today, we can have a detailed information for them.

ASTM A53 LSAW steel pipe can be made with two categories: ERW steel pipe and seamless steel pipe with types of F, E, S covering grades of A and B.

ASTM A53 type F, it would be welded on furnace butt with continuous weld Grade A.

ASTM A53 type E, it’s a kind of ERW steel pipe in Grade A and Grade B. 

ASTM A53 type S, this would be made seamless steel pipe in Grade A and Grade B.

It would be identified with the raw steel material with different production process for the different grades. Manufacturers of steel pipes would know this clearly.
