Types and grades of ASTM A53 steel pipe

ASTM A53 steel pipe, like ASTM A53 LSAW steel pipe we provided, could be a common standard for welded steel pipe. It is used in various industries from water, common piling and construction application widely.

Today, we’d like to share the types and grades for this kind of steel tube.

There are three kinds of types:

Type F: With grade A, this type would be focus on furnace-butt-welded. So it is not intended for flange.

Type E: We can see grades A and B for this category. And it will go through the electric-resistance-welded. So it will be furnished either non-expanded or cold expanded at the option of the manufacturer.

Type S: This would be seamless one with grade A and B. For grade A, it is the preferred grade and grade B steel pipe will not intend to prohibit the cold bending.
