What causes the zinc consumption of stainless steel welded wire mesh to increase

Update:2020-01-09      View(s):1198        Keywords :

After the production of stainless steel welded wire mesh is completed, the hot-dip galvanizing process is usually used to improve the corrosion resistance. However, there are many factors in this process leading to a significant increase in zinc consumption, which needs to be improved.

1. The quality of pickling is unstable. The concentration of pickling solution is not well controlled. Too strong or too thin will affect the quality of pickling. If the welding wire passes through the pickling tank at an uneven speed, the floating matter in the pickling solution can easily stick to the surface of the welding wire, causing the pickling quality to be unstable.

2. Welded wire mesh enters galvanizing solution without drying. This phenomenon will cause the temperature difference between the screen and the galvanizing solution to be too large, the amount of zinc layer adhesion will increase greatly, and even zinc thorns and other phenomena will appear.

3. Wash directly with cold water after degreasing. This will cause the degreasing solution on the screen surface to not be cleaned well, affecting the quality of pickling and rust removal, and further affecting the quality of galvanizing.

The above points are the main factors that will increase the consumption of zinc in the galvanizing process of steel wire welded wire mesh. In actual production, close attention should be paid to control the amount of zinc used and reduce production costs.
