Who decides the standards for steel pipe fittings

In steel pipe fittings industry, we know that standards would play an important role. Because they have to work for various steel pipes, ranging from seamless steel pipe to welded steel pipe. Today, we would have a brief introduction for steel pipe fittings.

Different types of steel pipe would decide the standards of various steel pipe fittings. Thus, these fittings have to meet the requirement such as specification and size for different organizations. Of course, there are difference for national and international standards. We should make sense for this and manufacture different types of fittings for steel pipe too. For example, we would have our fittings for American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and so on.
