Details of SA106GR.B American Standard seamless steel pipes commonly used in industrial projects
Update:2024-10-21 View(s):88 Keywords :SA106 steel pipe, SA106 seamless steel pipe, industrial seamless steel pipe
SA106B seamless steel pipes are mainly used for heating surface steel pipes of low and medium-pressure boilers (working pressure is generally not more than 5.88Mpa, working temperature is below 450℃); for heating surface steel pipes, economizers, superheaters, reheaters, petrochemical industry pipes, etc. of high-pressure boilers (working pressure is generally above 9.8Mpa, working temperature is between 450℃ and 650℃).
According to different production methods, it can be divided into hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, cold-drawn pipes, extruded pipes, etc. Hot-rolled seamless pipes are generally produced on automatic pipe rolling mills. The solid pipe billet is inspected and surface defects are removed, cut into the required length, centered on the perforated end face of the pipe billet, and then sent to the heating furnace for heating. The perforation is made on the perforator, which rotates and moves forward while perforating. Under the action of the rollers and the head, a cavity is gradually formed inside the pipe billet, which is called a rough pipe. It is then sent to the automatic pipe-rolling mill for further rolling. Finally, the wall thickness is adjusted by the leveling machine, and the diameter is determined by the sizing machine to meet the specification requirements.

Mechanical properties of ASTM A106B seamless steel pipe:
Tensile strength of ASTM A106B seamless steel pipe (MPa) 335-475
Yield strength of ASTM A106B seamless steel pipe (MPa) ≥205
Elongation of ASTM A106B seamless steel pipe (%) ≥24
Seamless steel pipes are widely used! General-purpose seamless steel pipes are rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low-alloy structural steel, or alloy structural steel, with the largest output, and are mainly used as pipes or structural parts for conveying fluids.
1. Hot rolling (extruded seamless steel pipe): round tube billet → heating → perforation → three-roller oblique rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion → tube removal → sizing (or reducing) → cooling → straightening → water pressure test (or flaw detection) → marking → storage
2. Cold drawn (rolled) seamless steel pipe: round tube billet → heating → perforation → heading → annealing → pickling → oiling (copper plating) → multi-pass cold drawing (cold rolling) → billet tube → heat treatment → straightening → water pressure test (flaw detection) → marking → storage,
