The most common connection method for large-diameter spiral steel pipes is welding, but in some projects, threaded connections, flange connections, socket connections, and groove connections are often used.

Welding, flange connection
Welding and flange connection is traditional spiral steel pipe connection methods, which are far from meeting the market demand in terms of safety, sealing performance, cost space, and emergency repair efficiency.
Scope of application: water pipeline connection, oil, and natural gas pipeline connection, chemical pipeline connection, power pipeline connection

Grooved Fitting Connection
Grooved pipe connection technology, also known as clamp connection technology, has become the first technology for liquid and gas pipeline connections. Although this technology was developed later in China than abroad, due to its advanced technology, it was quickly adopted by accepted by the market. The application of grooved pipe connection technology makes the complex pipe connection process simple, fast, and convenient. A big step forward in plumbing technology.

Grooved fittings include two broad categories:
①The pipe fittings that play the role of connection and sealing include rigid joints, flexible joints, mechanical tee, and groove flanges;
②The pipe fittings that play the role of connection and transition include elbow, tee, cross, reducer, blind plate, spiral steel pipe, etc. The groove connection pipe fittings that play the role of connection and sealing are mainly composed of three parts: sealing rubber ring, clamp, and locking bolt. The rubber sealing ring located on the inner layer is placed on the outside of the connected pipe and is in line with the pre-rolled groove, and then a clamp is fastened on the outside of the rubber ring, and then fastened with two bolts. Due to the unique sealable structure design of the rubber sealing ring and the clamp, the groove connection has good sealing performance, and with the increase of the fluid pressure in the pipe, the sealing performance is correspondingly enhanced.

The groove connection makes the pipeline connection simple, which is beneficial to construction safety, good system stability, convenient maintenance, labor-saving, and time-saving, so it has good economic benefits. With the clamp connection, although the price of a single part of the clamp is higher, the overall benefit of the entire pipe network installation is higher than that of the flange connection.
Scope of application: liquid and gas pipeline connection

Clamp pipe connection
As an advanced pipe connection method, the clamp pipe connection can be either exposed or buried, with both steel joints and flexible joints. Therefore, it has a broad scope of application.

According to the system: it can be used in the fire water system, air conditioning cold and hot water system, water supply system, petrochemical pipeline system, thermal power, military pipeline system, sewage treatment pipeline system, etc.
The pipe material: it can be used to connect steel pipes, steel pipes, stainless steel, plastic-lined steel pipes, ductile iron pipes, thick-walled plastic pipes, and soft and valve parts with steel pipe joints and flange joints.
