What are the main differences between hot-rolled steel pipes and cold-rolled steel pipes
Update:2025-01-16 View(s):44 Keywords :hot rolled steel pipe, cold rolled steel pipe, steel pipe difference
1. Cold-rolled steel pipes allow local buckling of the cross-section so that the bearing capacity after the bar buckling can be fully utilized; while hot-rolled steel pipes do not allow local buckling of the cross-section.
2. The causes of residual stress in hot-rolled steel pipes and cold-rolled steel pipes are different, so the distribution on the cross-section is also very different. The residual stress distribution on the cross section of cold-bent thin-walled steel is bending-type, while the residual stress distribution on the cross section of hot-rolled steel pipes or welded steel pipes is film-type.
3. The free torsional stiffness of hot-rolled steel pipes is higher than that of cold-rolled steel pipes, so the torsional performance of hot-rolled steel pipes is better than that of cold-rolled steel pipes.
