What aspects need to be considered in the design of petrochemical steel pipelines

Update:2023-07-13   View(s):543   Keywords :What aspects need to be considered in the design of petrochemical steel pipelines
1. The layout design should meet the requirements of the process pipeline and instrument flow chart.
2. The layout of petrochemical steel pipelines should be planned as a whole, safe, reliable, economical, and reasonable, meet the requirements of construction, operation, maintenance, and other aspects, and strive to be neat and beautiful.
3. When determining the orientation and laying method of steel pipes entering and exiting the device (unit), internal and external coordination should be achieved.
4. The laying of plant-wide steel pipes in the plant area should be coordinated with the installations, roads, buildings, structures, etc. in the plant area to prevent steel pipes from surrounding devices and reduce the intersection of steel pipes with railways and roads.
5. Steel pipes should be laid overhead or on the ground, if necessary, they can be buried or laid in pipe trenches.
6. Steel pipelines should be arranged in rows, and steel pipelines on the ground should be laid on pipe racks or pipe piers.
7. When arranging steel pipes on pipe racks and pipe piers, it is advisable to balance the vertical and horizontal loads on the pipe racks or pipe piers.
8. A margin of 10%~30% should be left on the plant-wide pipe frame or pipe piers (including crossing culverts), and its load should also be considered.
9. The layout of steel pipelines and large-diameter steel pipelines with special requirements for distance, angle, and height difference for conveying media should meet the equipment layout design requirements.
10. The arrangement of steel pipes shall avoid hindering the installation and maintenance of equipment, pumps, and their internal components and the passage of fire-fighting vehicles.
11. The layout of the steel pipeline should allow the steel pipeline system to have the necessary flexibility. To ensure the flexibility of the steel pipeline and the force and moment of the steel pipeline on the equipment and the nozzle of the pump do not exceed the allowable value, the steel pipeline should be the shortest and the components should be the least.
12. The support point set should be considered while planning the steel pipeline, and the natural shape of the steel pipeline should be used to achieve self-compensation.
13. The layout of steel pipes should be "step higher" or "step lower" to reduce air pockets or liquid pockets. When it is unavoidable, it should be set to vent and clean according to the operation and maintenance requirements. Steel piping arrangements should reduce "cecum".
14. When the steel pipeline of gas-liquid two-phase flow is divided into two or more channels from one channel, the layout of the steel pipeline should consider symmetry or meet the requirements of the steel pipeline and instrument flow chart.
